What it is
București.guide is a short guide to Bucharest, Romania. For each area of the city we pick five places to see, five to eat and five to stay.
How we choose
Every place is checked: it exists, it is open and it is worth the trip. Each entry says in one line why we picked it.
Order matters. The first place in a category is the one we would recommend first to a friend.
What we don't do
We take no money to list a place and we don't sell positions.
Areas
Bucharest is too big for a single list of five, so we split it into areas you can explore on foot or by metro. An area appears on the site only when it has good places in all three categories. We add more as we check them.
Bucharest is a municipality in its own right, not part of Ilfov County. For the towns around the city, such as Mogoșoaia or Snagov, see the ilfov.info guide.

The guide is supported by a few sponsors. They appear in a separate space marked “Sponsor” and have nothing to do with the lists.
We don't accept places from the guide, or their direct competitors, as sponsors, so the recommendations stay ours.
