About the place
DeSoi opened in the winter of 2022–2023 in a former grocery on Piața Sfântul Ștefan, in the Mântuleasa district, an area with a long trading tradition. It was started by three childhood friends, Bogdan Ivan, Damian Morcovescu and Cristian Ivana, as a place where the grocery and the restaurant share one roof: shelves of produce from small Romanian and foreign producers, wines, artisan bakery goods and specialty coffee. In autumn 2025 the brand opened a second branch, at Hotel Cișmigiu.
At the centre of the room is a shared table for 16, where the team also eats after each service. Brunch is served every day, and reviews often mention the savoury pies, the croissants, the sandwiches and the open kitchen. On Google most reviewers praise the warm atmosphere and the food; a few complain about loud music, the lack of privacy at the long table or the service.

- Brunch is served daily from 10:00 to 16:30; the place is open from 9:00 to 20:00, and on Thursdays until 23:00.
- At the shared table for 16 you sit next to other guests; for a quiet conversation it is not the right place at busy times.
